The BELONGING theatre workshop, (UK)

Aberdeen International Youth Festival (AIYF)

The BELONGING theatre workshop will be held at ACT during the week of 31 July.  BELONGING is a new play with music set at the Aberdeen International Youth Festival and takes place in both 1991 (in the run up to Czechoslovakia’s split) and in 2014 (on the eve of the Scottish Referendum), exploring themes of friendship, loyalty, trans-continental love, awkwardness and, of course, independence.  The free workshop will focus on drama and acting skills, as well as musical performance, and is open to young adults (ages 17 – 24), culminating in a staged public read-through at ACT on Friday 4 August.
