'Mezcla’ is a Glasgow based world-jazz collective led by bass player/composer David Bowden (BBC Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year 2017). Comprising some of Scotland’s leading young musicians, the band plays original music drawing from a rich tapestry of influences spanning jazz, soul and folk music from Scotland, Latin America and West Africa.

AIYF Stonehaven Gala

A mix of musical styles is at the heart of this annual concert in 2017. Including traditional Scottish music from Feis Rois National Ceilidh Trail, folk with American influences from Atlantic North (USA), Pipers from Brazil that add a hint of Samba to their music and some African drumming and dance.
