Meet Lileth, our artist in residence

As part of our 3D Hot Air Balloon Pop up Gallery, we are welcoming Artists in Residencies for artists to create work in the space and demonstrate their skills and portfolio so far.

Our artist is residence this week is 20 year old Lileth, about to enter her 3rd year in Grays School of Art and originally from Nottingham:

‘My work is very varied, before beginning my painting degree my focus was on the human form and portraits., producing large scale acrylic paintings. Since starting university, they have pushed me to explore and experiment a much larger array of topics, such as boats, still life, the fishing industry, whilst allowing me to improve and refine my figure work in life drawing classes.

I am currently working on a highland landscape project. Exploring and experimenting with mixing to different images together, whilst looking at the effect we have had on our beautiful landscape.’

Come along to the Bon Accord Centre to check out Lileth’s work and see her work in progress as well as all the 3D Hot Air Balloons created by young people from Aberdeen and the North East!
