Festival Jobs
Aberdeen International Youth Festival has over 60 temporary
and volunteer staff during the Festival. Positions include
administration, production, transport, pastoral staff, Couriers
(participant liaison) and Youth Team (runners).

Descriptions and how to apply
Youth Team and Volunteering Corps - Recruiting now!!
From now until 7 August
Volunteering staff performing a variety of support roles including
PR, front of house duties, office and admin assistance and
marshalling outdoor events.
Volunteers are entitled to free tickets to AIYF 2010 shows.
All staff who will be working directly with the Festival
participants without supervision will be Disclosure Scotland
checked.

Transport - Recruiting now!!
26 July - 7 August
(Must be over 23 for insurance purposes and qualified to drive
a minibus / transit van)
Drivers of minibuses and/or transit vans
Pastoral staff - Recruiting now!!
24 July - 9 August
Residential staff looking after students at the Festival's
dance and traditional music summer schools.
Administration - NB All administration positions for AIYF
2010 have been filled
From the beginning of July
Admin help in the Festival office, reception, helping answer
enquiries, updating the website, editing and producing programmes
and assisiting with room bookings. Admin positions are available
from the beginning of July.
Production and backstage crew - - NB All production
and backstage crew for AIYF 2010 have been filled
26 July - 7 August
Experienced stage crew are required to ensure Festival shows
run smoothly. Working in a variety of venues from HMT and
the Lemon Tree to small town and village halls and churches.
Couriers (participant liaison) - NB All courier positions
for AIYF 2010 have been filled
27 July - 7 August - variable
Residential staff acting as liaisons for groups and individual
participants throughout their stay

Year-round Volunteer Roles
We also have volunteer positions helping out in the office,
for anyone who wants to gain office and arts admin experience
for their CV, or who has a free couple of hours a week and
would like to get help out.
You will need to be available for a minimum of a couple of
hours a week, or for full-time for periods of a week or more.
